About the Role
We are seeking a reliable, compassionate, and safety-focused
Casual Patient Transport Driver
to join our team. In this role, you will provide safe, respectful and timely transport services for our patients attending medical appointments locally and out of town. You will be an important part of supporting patient access to health care and representing BACHS positively in the community.
Key Responsibilities
Provide safe and courteous transport for patients to and from medical and specialist appointments
Assist patients with mobility needs, entering and exiting vehicles safely
Maintain vehicle cleanliness, roadworthiness and daily safety checks
Keep accurate transport logs, mileage, and relevant documentation
Communicate effectively with clinic staff regarding patient schedules and changes
Uphold confidentiality, cultural safety, and professionalism at all times
Follow all BACHS procedures, safety standards and NSW road rules
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
A current NSW Driver's Licence (minimum Class C)
Positive driving record and confidence driving long distances
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work flexibly and reliably on a casual roster
Commitment to providing culturally appropriate and respectful service
High level of reliability, patience, and professionalism
Capacity to work independently and manage time effectively
Desirable:
First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
Experience working with Aboriginal communities
Previous driving/transport or support services experience
