Teach Engineering Foundations, shape innovative curriculum and build industry partnerships to prepare students for successful careers.
About the Position
As a Lecturer in Engineering, you will deliver high-quality teaching in Engineering Foundations, including Mathematics, across undergraduate, honours and postgraduate programs. You will develop contemporary curriculum, coordinate units and assessments, and deliver engaging on-campus, online and blended learning experiences. You will also contribute to accreditation, academic governance and the scholarship of teaching and learning, while building strong industry, government and community partnerships to support student employability and ensure programs remain innovative, sustainable and industry relevant.
About You
To be successful, you will require:
Experience teaching and assessing Engineering subjects across on-campus, online and blended environments, including laboratory classes.
Knowledge of WHS compliance and risk management in laboratory settings.
Engagement in the scholarship of teaching and learning, with the ability to contribute to scholarly outcomes.
Strong communication, interpersonal and teamwork skills, with the ability to support students from diverse backgrounds.
Understanding of sustainable practices in teaching, research and administration.
Experience building industry partnerships that support curriculum relevance, research and student employability.
Commitment to the University's values.
Additional requirements at Level B:
Experience developing Engineering curricula, units, courses and high-quality learning resources across multiple delivery modes.
Experience contributing to internal and professional program accreditation.
Evidence of relevant research or scholarly outcomes, such as publications, external grants or consultancies.
Remuneration
Appointment to this role will be at HE Academic A/B. The base salary will be in the range of $76,604 - $137,659 per annum.
The total remuneration package will be in the range of $89,626 - $161,061 per annum, including 17% superannuation.
