What You'll Be Doing No two days are the same in this dynamic role.
You'll be involved in a variety of administrative and patient-facing responsibilities, including: Welcoming patients and delivering exceptional customer service Managing admissions and facilitating a smooth patient journey Conducting financial and health fund checks Preparing and maintaining accurate medical records Processing patient payments and administrative documentation Communicating with patients to finalise pre-admission requirements Coordinating with doctors' rooms and hospital departments Answering and directing phone enquiries professionally and efficiently Supporting the broader administration team with data entry and general clerical tasks About Us: Set at the top of Wickham Terrace, Brisbane's busiest medical precinct, above the Roma Street Parklands in the heart of the CBD, Brisbane Private Hospital is an acute and rehabilitation hospital with 181 beds, 17 operating theatres and dedicated surgical, ICU and rehabilitation wards.




Brisbane Private Hospital specialises in Neurosurgery, Orthopaedics, Spinal, ENT, Pain and Rehabilitation with additional specialties including Plastics, Urology, General Surgery and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Brisbane Private Hospital also delivers a leading private drug and alcohol program, Damascus Health Services, from its dedicated drug and alcohol rehabilitation unit.
What We're Looking For We're seeking someone who is: Friendly, professional and customer-focused Organised and able to juggle competing priorities Comfortable working in a busy, fast-paced environment A confident communicator, both face-to-face and over the phone A proactive team player who takes initiative Punctual, well-presented and reliable in attendance Essential Skills and Experience Previous medical reception or administration experience Experience within the healthcare industry Working within a team delivering to deadlines Customer service skills Ability to multi-task Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Strong organisational and time management skills Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including early and late starts Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel)



Experience with patient management systems is highly regarded but not essential.
