Cranbourne West Medical Centre is seeking an experienced and motivated Practice Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our busy general practice. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the clinic, supporting our team, maintaining compliance, and delivering an exceptional patient experience.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the daily operations of the medical practice.
Lead, support and develop the reception and administration team.
Manage staff rosters, recruitment, onboarding and performance.
Ensure compliance with RACGP Standards, Medicare requirements and relevant legislation.
Oversee Medicare billing, banking and financial administration.
Maintain practice policies, procedures and accreditation requirements.
Monitor practice performance and implement operational improvements.
Liaise with GPs, nurses, allied health professionals and external stakeholders.
Manage stock, suppliers and facility requirements.
Resolve patient enquiries and support a high standard of customer service.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Previous experience in a Practice Manager or senior medical administration role.




Experience with Best Practice software is desirable.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Knowledge of Medicare, MBS billing and general practice operations.
Experience using Best Practice software (preferred).
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to prioritise tasks and work effectively in a rapid-paced environment.
A proactive, professional and patient-focused approach.
