With significant capital available for deployment across A/NZ, the team is seeking an outstanding investment professional to play a key role in buying and managing major private equity investments.
The Sydney team focuses on large-cap investment opportunities across Australia and New Zealand, partnering with management teams to acquire market-leading businesses. Working as part of a high-performing team with significant global resources, this role offers exceptional exposure across the full investment lifecycle and direct interaction with senior investment professionals both locally and internationally.
This represents a rare opportunity to join one of the world's most respected private equity platforms, participating in the largest and most sophisticated transactions undertaken across the APAC region. Key Responsibilities




Evaluate and originate private equity investment opportunities across Australia and New Zealand
Lead financial analysis, valuation and complex financial modelling for prospective and existing investments
Execute transactions including due diligence, management of external advisers, negotiation support and transaction structuring
Prepare investment committee papers, strategic analyses and recommendations for senior decision-makers
Work closely with portfolio company management teams to support strategic initiatives, operational improvement and value creation
Monitor existing investments, identifying opportunities to enhance long‐term enterprise value and support future capital allocation decisions.
Candidate Profile
~3-8 years of qualified experience, with a portion of this gained within private equity or similar principal investing role
Outstanding financial modelling, analytical and commercial capabilities developed through complex M&A; transactions
Excellent communication, stakeholder management and presentation skills;
Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Law or a related discipline with a strong academic record.
