High-Needs Support Worker (Female) | Private Home | Ongoing Casual - Permanent considered
We are seeking a dedicated and physically capable female support worker to join our small, family-oriented team to provide high-needs care for a young adult with a complex physical disability. This role goes beyond standard support work and requires a professional who is truly interested in helping this individual live their very best life.
Critical Requirements:
You must have fluent spoken and written English. This is essential for reading, understanding, and strictly following complex policy documents and care instructions.
This role is physically demanding. You must be strong and capable of performing manual handling and high-needs physical support.
Applicants must hold full, unrestricted Australian work rights and be eligible to obtain an NDIS Worker Screening Check.

Training / Qualifications:
Certificate III or higher in disability support or a nursing related course (or the willingness to obtain). And/or equivalent demonstrated experience in delivering high intensity supports.
Training in specialised high needs support (or the willingness to obtain immediately on commencement): Dysphagia support, Seizure management, Wound management, Medication Assistance, Manual Handling, and Communication.
Clearances:
NDIS Worker Screening check
National Police check
Working with Children check
Licence:
Valid Australian Driver's Licence and insured reliable vehicle.
Certifications:
Current First Aid (within 3 years) and CPR certificates (within 12 months).
Core Duties and Responsibilities:
Deliver high-intensity daily personal activities and personal care
Provide mealtime and feeding support
Provide therapy support - assisting with prescribed mobility exercises
Implement and follow specialised health support plans
Provide meaningful social and community participation support
Provide domestic assistance
Immediate start -
On the job training will commence immediately
Availability Requirement:
Must be available for shifts between September and December due to being a peak leave period for our existing team, a leave blackout period applies during these months. We are building a 24/7 roster alongside existing staff which include shifts for daytime, afternoon, evening, overnight, and weekends. Candidates with flexible availability will be highly regarded.
Employment Type:
This is an ongoing casual position, however permanent placement will be considered for the right applicant.

Hourly rates are paid in accordance with the SCHADS Award with penalty rates matching your specific shift times.
