Job Connect is currently seeking both Mechanical Fitters and Boilermakers/Welders to join the maintenance team of a well-established national company based in the Beenleigh / Yatala area.
These are long-term opportunities working Monday to Friday on afternoon shift, with regular overtime available and genuine career progression for the right people.

About the role
Working within a large industrial maintenance team, you'll perform preventative maintenance, breakdown repairs and upgrades on heavy fixed plant equipment including:
Crushers
Screening equipment
Associated fixed plant machinery
This is a diverse, hands-on role where no two days are the same and you'll be working alongside experienced tradespeople in a well-supported environment.
Mechanical Fitters
As a Mechanical Fitter your responsibilities will include:




Preventative maintenance
Fault finding and breakdown repairs
Replacing bearings, rollers, shafts and mechanical components
Fixed plant servicing and repairs
Basic stick welding as part of maintenance repairs
Boilermakers / Fabricators
As a Boilermaker your responsibilities will include:
Fabrication and repair of fixed plant components
Maintenance welding
SMAW (Stick) welding
Repairs to crushers, screens and conveyor systems
To be successful you will have:
Trade qualification as either a Mechanical Fitter or Boilermaker
Current Driver Licence
Working at Heights and Confined Space (or willingness to obtain within your first week)
Ability to pass a pre-employment medical
Competency in stick welding (SMAW) as this forms part of the repair process
Experience in heavy industry, manufacturing, mining, quarries, recycling, cement, concrete or fixed plant maintenance will be highly regarded, however candidates from other industrial maintenance backgrounds are encouraged to apply.
