About the role
The role of the Case Support Worker is to work cooperatively with Nugel case managers and under the direction of the Nugel team leader, to ensure that culturally appropriate court ordered contact is maintained between children and their families. The case support worker will provide transport for children and/or supervision of the contact as required. The case support worker will also undertake a variety of case work and administration tasks under the direction of the case workers or team leader, such as assisting with referrals, making phone calls, researching supports etc.

Proven respect for Aboriginal cultures and societies, commitment to continuous learning, and high awareness of issues impacting Aboriginal communities.
Child Development, Trauma, and Behavioural Support
Possesses sound knowledge of child development and trauma, with the ability to engage and support children with behavioural challenges in a culturally safe manner.
Robust Communication and Confidentiality Skills
Maintains confidentiality, communicates effectively with children, young people, and families, and demonstrates strong written and conceptual abilities.
Teamwork, Flexibility, and Emotional Intelligence
Works well independently and in teams, remains calm under pressure, reflects on personal behaviour, and adapts to varying supervision environments.
Professionalism and Ongoing Learning
Shows a commitment to professional development and is knowledgeable about child safety regulations, including the use of child restraints.
Requirements:
Valid Police Check, a Working with Children's Check for a paid employee (or willingness to obtain) and a Victorian Driver Licence.
Current COVID-19 vaccination (Strongly Recommended).
