Psychologist | Health Psychologist | Clinical Psychologist – Gut–Brain Therapy (Adults, Adolescents & Children)

We are seeking a Psychologist to join our Brisbane (Paddington) clinic. With strong referral pathways and a full waiting list, you'll have the opportunity to quickly establish a rewarding caseload.
Develop expertise in one of the fastest-growing areas of psychology. Gut-brain therapies, including gut-directed hypnotherapy and CBT are supported by international gastroenterology guidelines and decades of clinical research.

The Gut Centre is Australia's leading dedicated gut-brain psychology practice. We support adults, adolescents and children living with IBS and complex gastrointestinal conditions through evidence-based care, including gut-directed hypnotherapy, CBT and ACT. Founded by Clinical Psychologist Dr Jim Kantidakis (18+ years' experience), we operate from Paddington, Brisbane, with clinics in Melbourne and the Sunshine Coast.
About the Role
Provide therapy toadults, adolescents and children
Deliver evidence-based therapies includingCBT, gut-directed hypnotherapy, ACT and other gut-focused therapies
Experience in hypnotherapy is not required. Training in gut-directed hypnotherapy is provided as part of your introduction to the role.
Work with a consistent caseload of gut–brain presentations
Provide sessions in-person (Paddington) and via telehealth
You will support patients experiencing:
Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)
Functional gut symptoms (bloating, nausea, abdominal pain, reflux, dyspepsia)
Complex and treatment-resistant gut conditions
Coeliac disease and IBD (counselling support) and comorbid conditions

Who This Role Is For
This position is suited to psychologists who:
Have experience or a strong interest inhealth psychology, chronic illness, pain management or mind–body conditions
Are seeking along-term role in private practice
Prefer to develop depth in a focused clinical area rather than remain a generalist
Working Arrangement
We are open to bothcontractor and employment arrangements, depending on your preference and stage of practice. Our focus is on creating a structure that supportslong-term clinical development, consistency, and integration within the team.
Important
We are building a team of clinicians committed tolong-term development in gut–brain therapy and health psychology.
This role is not designed as a short-term training or transition position, and may not suit those planning to move into independent practice in the near future.
Requirements
AHPRA registration (Clinical Psychologist or Registered Psychologist)
Experience with CBT, ACT or other evidence-based therapies
Interest in gastrointestinal conditions or health psychology
