Our Mount Magnet Mining (MMG) operations include multiple open pit, underground, and satellite sites with a projected 17-year mine life.
The Checkers processing plant at Mt Magnet is currently undergoing a A$223M expansion and upgrade to an initial 4.3Mtpa capacity, with construction expected to be completed in the September **** quarter.
The Role Reporting to the Senior Metallurgist, you will support and monitor the metallurgical performance of the plant, ensuring optimisation of recoveries, throughput and reagent usage.
This is a hands-on role working closely with the Processing team to identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Your key responsibilities will include: Monitoring metallurgical KPIs, recovery, and throughput, and providing accurate daily and monthly reports Supporting metallurgical sampling programs, laboratory test work and data interpretation Assisting with metallurgical accounting systems, including mass balancing and reconciliation Working with operations to set and review plant operating parameters and optimise circuit performance Supporting gold room activities,



elution and gravity recovery circuits to ensure compliance and best practice Participating in the planning and delivery of plant optimisation and upgrade projects Contributing to safety initiatives and promoting a strong safety-first culture About You We are looking for a technically minded and results-driven Metallurgist who is eager to make an impact in a dynamic processing environment.
You will bring: Bachelor's degree in Extractive Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering or Process Engineering (or equivalent) Previous experience as a Metallurgist in gold processing operations Solid understanding of crushing, grinding, gravity, leaching, CIL/CIP recovery and elution processes Strong skills in metallurgical accounting, data analysis and advanced Excel use Good communication skills with the ability to translate technical information into practical guidance for operators Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities WA "C" class driver's licence What We Offer Initially offered as a 12-month max term role 8:6 roster with FIFO from Perth or BIBO from Geraldton Competitive salary with performance bonuses and perks strong support for your career, wellbeing and life outside of work 17-year mine life, exciting growth plans and genuine development opportunities Next Steps We can't wait to hear from you!
