Our client is seeking an Associate Project Manager to support the successful delivery of strategic regulatory initiatives within the Financial Services sector.
Working within a collaborative and highly engaged team, you will contribute to projects that influence policy, regulation, technology, and operational outcomes across multiple Australian jurisdictions.
This role is ideal for an emerging project professional looking to further develop their project delivery, governance and stakeholder engagement capabilities while working on complex, high-profile initiatives.
About the Role: As an Associate Project Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the planning, coordination and delivery of projects across regulatory, technical, financial and operational workstreams.
You will work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered effectively, risks are managed, and outcomes are achieved.
Key Responsibilities: Coordinate project activities to support the successful delivery of regulatory and strategic initiatives.
Monitor project schedules, milestones, risks, issues and dependencies, providing timely updates to stakeholders.
Assist in the development and implementation of project plans, governance frameworks and reporting processes.
Prepare project documentation, briefings, progress reports and presentation materials.
Conduct research, analysis and information gathering to support project planning and decision-making.
Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across government, industry and participating jurisdictions.
Support project assurance,
risk management and continuous improvement activities.
Contribute to identifying opportunities to enhance project processes, governance and delivery outcomes.
Key Experience Required: You are a highly organised and proactive project professional who enjoys working in a collaborative setting and managing competing priorities.
You have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to build productive stakeholder relationships.
Essential Requirements: Tertiary qualifications in Business, Project Management, Management or a related discipline.
Project Management certification or working towards certification (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP, CPPP or Diploma of Project Management).
Experience supporting or coordinating projects within a project delivery, PMO, governance or operational environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare professional reports and stakeholder communications.
Understanding of project management methodologies, governance practices and project lifecycle principles.
Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively within a small, high-performing team.
Highly Regarded Experience: Experience in government, regulatory, policy or highly regulated environments.
Exposure to multi-stakeholder programs involving cross-functional teams or multiple jurisdictions.
Experience supporting governance forums, steering committees or project reporting processes.
