We are seeking an experienced, reliable and passionate Chef to join our kitchen team and support the delivery of consistently high-quality food in our busy regional hospitality business.
Key Responsibilities Preparing, seasoning and cooking a range of Australian-style meals, takeaway foods and seafood dishes.
Ensuring meals are prepared and presented consistently in accordance with recipes and quality standards.
Monitoring food quality, freshness, portion sizes and presentation.
Assisting with menu planning, daily specials and the introduction of new dishes.
Managing food preparation and coordinating kitchen activities during busy service periods.
Monitoring stock levels, placing orders and minimising food wastage.
Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene and workplace health and safety requirements.
Maintaining a clean, organised and efficient kitchen.
Training and supervising junior kitchen staff where required.




Working collaboratively with management and front-of-house staff to provide productive and friendly service.
Qualifications Experience To be considered for this role, applicants must possess: Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery, Diploma of Hospitality Management or an equivalent relevant qualification.
A minimum of 2–3 years of full-time experience as a Chef in a restaurant, café, roadhouse, hotel or commercial kitchen.
Experience preparing Australian-style meals, takeaway foods, meat, poultry, seafood and vegetarian dishes.
Sound knowledge of food safety standards, kitchen hygiene, stock control and inventory management.
Ability to maintain consistent food quality and portion control.
Ability to work independently and effectively within a small kitchen team.
Strong organisational and time-management skills.
Good communication and teamwork abilities.
A reliable, flexible and positive approach to work.
Willingness to live and work in a remote regional location.
Availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays as required.
