This is a role for a finance professional who wants their analysis to genuinely shape decisions.
As FP A Manager, you will own the planning and forecasting engine of a fast-moving technology business, work shoulder to shoulder with the executive team, and lead the analysis that informs how the organisation invests, grows and reports to its investors.
About our client Our client is an established and growing listed technology business.
Finance sits close to the action here, with a small, capable corporate finance team that is trusted to drive strategic conversations rather than just report on them.
You will report to the Head of Corporate Finance and work directly with the CFO, Group Executive Team and senior leaders across the business.
The opportunity This is a management role with real breadth.
You will take full ownership of the group's budgeting, forecasting and long-range planning, while also contributing across investor relations, capital management, treasury and M A. Alongside the technical work, you will lead and develop a Financial Analyst/Modeller, giving you the chance to build a team member's capability as well as your own.
It is a genuinely strategic seat, suited to someone who enjoys connecting financial detail to commercial outcomes.
What you will be doing Own the group's annual budget, rolling forecasts and five-year planning cycle, working with the executive team and cost centre managers to land each process on time and with the analysis to back it up Maintain and develop a long-range three-way financial model that underpins strategic and board-level decisions Lead investor relations analysis, including shareholder and competitor insights, and prepare high-quality materials for investor presentations and meetings Partner with senior leaders to assess business cases and support capital management,
treasury and M A activity Drive continuous improvement across finance reporting systems, data quality and FP A processes, championing projects that lift the standard of reporting across the business Coach and develop a Financial Analyst through regular feedback, goal setting and on-the-job mentoring What you will bring We are interested in what you can do and the impact you can have, and we welcome applicants from a range of industries and career paths.
You will likely hold a CPA, CA, CFA or CIMA qualification and bring around eight or more years of relevant experience across FP A, management reporting and valuation.
Advanced Excel and modelling skills are central to this role, including the ability to build a three-way model from scratch.
Just as significant are strong analytical judgement, the confidence to communicate with senior stakeholders, and the ability to prioritise across competing deadlines.
Experience mentoring or coaching others will also serve you well.
How you will work This is a hybrid role based in Sydney, combining time in the office with the flexibility to work remotely.
That arrangement is built into how the team operates, giving you space to focus on deep analytical work while staying connected to the people and decisions that matter.
You will join a finance function that values clear thinking, collaboration and accountable service, and that invests in the growth of its people through coaching and meaningful project work.
Ready to take the next step If you want a role where your planning, modelling and commercial insight directly influence how a technology business grows, we would like to hear from you.
Apply now with your current CV, and we will be in touch to discuss the opportunity in more detail.
