Job description Our client is a leading provider of mental health and wellbeing services, delivering high-quality assessment, support and counselling services to their clients.
With a strong focus on client outcomes, they combine proven clinical practices with innovative, evidence based approaches.
As part of a significant business transformation initiative, our client is introducing a new Case Management System and is seeking multiple APS6 Senior Contract Managers to support the effective management of provider contracts and related procurement activities.
About the Role Working within a multidisciplinary environment, the APS6 Senior Contract Manager will play a key role in managing low to medium-risk contracts, supporting procurement activities and ensuring contractual arrangements deliver value-for-money outcomes.
The successful candidate will bring strong stakeholder engagement capabilities, sound procurement and contract management experience and the ability to navigate complex contractual matters while maintaining compliance with government policies and frameworks.
Key Responsibilities Respond to work items generated through the recent Case Management System, including provider updates, changes to service offerings and premises locations.
Manage low to medium-risk contracts and categories, including governance, risk, performance, and financial management activities.
Develop procurement and contract documentation, including contract and category management plans.
Provide advice on government procurement and contract management policies to support compliant and value for money outcomes.
Monitor, evaluate, and report on contract performance against KPIs and contractual requirements.
Support the development and implementation of strategies to improve contract performance and service delivery outcomes.




Identify and implement creative procurement and contract management solutions to address complex contractual issues.
Analyse contract expenditure and financial performance to ensure budget compliance and optimal value.
Manage contract variations, exemptions, extensions, expiries, and transition activities, making risk-based recommendations and decisions.
Maintain accurate contract records and provide guidance on procurement and contract management systems.
Interpret contractual terms and conditions and ensure all parties understand and meet their obligations.
Build and maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to effectively manage risk and resolve issues.
Contribute to team capability development through mentoring and knowledge sharing.
About You To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate: Experience operating as a senior member of a team and supporting others to achieve business outcomes.
Proven experience managing and developing low to medium-risk contracts within a government or regulated environment.
Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare complex procurement, contract, and technical documentation.
Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving capabilities.
Knowledge of government procurement and contract management policies, frameworks, and best practices.




The ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a dynamic environment.
Military experience or knowledge is highly regarded but not essential.
