POSITION | JORDAN Quantity Surveyor | VVIP Private Estate LOCATION Amman, Jordan The client will arrange the work visa and provide relocation if the successful candidate is not local.
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION The Quantity Surveyor will provide comprehensive commercial and cost-management support for prestigious construction, refurbishment and high-end finishing projects within a VVIP private estate.
The position is responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, bills of quantities and tender documentation; monitoring project expenditure; assessing completed work; and managing variations, valuations and contractual claims.
The successful candidate must ensure that all projects achieve the required financial, contractual and luxury-quality objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering Formal qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related discipline highly regarded Relevant professional membership or certification advantageous Fluent English, written and spoken mandatory Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Sinhala or another Indian/Sri Lankan language advantageous EXPERIENCE Minimum eight years' experience in Quantity Surveying or a closely related position Proven experience representing the client's interests on construction and refurbishment projects Demonstrated experience with luxury residences, five-star hotels, palaces or other high-end finishing projects Strong experience preparing bills of quantities, cost estimates and tender documentation Experience assessing interim and final valuations,



variations and contractual claims Proven ability to coordinate multiple projects and assignments concurrently Middle East project experience highly regarded DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Prepare detailed project cost estimates, budgets and bills of quantities Prepare tender documents and supporting commercial documentation Review drawings, specifications, bills of quantities and contract conditions Identify discrepancies or omissions between drawings, specifications and the BOQ Coordinate with the relevant parties to resolve identified discrepancies Participate in pre-tender activities with the client, architects, consultants and project managers Review tender information and raise relevant pre-bid queries and clarifications Analyse contractor and supplier quotations and provide commercial recommendations Monitor construction expenditure against approved budgets Maintain accurate records of all project costs and financial transactions Measure and assess the value of work completed on site Prepare and review interim and final valuations Assess variations, claims, additional works and cost adjustments Verify contractor payment applications and supporting documentation Monitor procurement costs and identify potential financial risks Assist with contract administration and commercial negotiations Prepare regular cost reports, forecasts and financial updates for management Conduct site inspections to verify progress,



quantities and quality of completed work Monitor high-end finishing works to ensure they meet the client's required quality standards Support the commercial and contractual close-out of completed projects Maintain complete, accurate and confidential project documentation SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES Advanced quantity surveying and cost-control capability Strong understanding of construction contracts and tendering processes Excellent knowledge of high-end construction materials and finishes Ability to interpret architectural, structural and engineering drawings Strong numerical, analytical and commercial skills Excellent attention to detail and documentation accuracy Skilled in valuations, variations and claims assessment Robust negotiation and supplier-evaluation ability Effective planning, coordination and multitasking skills Proficiency in relevant quantity-surveying and Microsoft Office applications Professional communication and stakeholder-management skills High level of integrity, discretion and confidentiality Ability to work independently and meet demanding project deadlines Commitment to luxury-quality workmanship and cost accountability SALARY USD 2,*****,500 per month, depending on qualifications and experience.
