YHA Cairns Centra l is ideally situated in the bustling centre of Cairns, boasting 209 beds across 59 rooms, all set in a relaxed ambiance with expansive outdoor living areas and verdant tropical flora.
It's an excellent base for venturing into the extraordinary convergence of two World Heritage wonders: the Great Barrier Reef and the Daintree Rainforest.

About the role We have an chance for a full time Shift Manager Shift Manager to join the Management Team.
Reporting to the Property Manager the daily operations, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the property and team.
Your main focus will be the team and to provide exceptional service to our guests, through working closely with our Assistant Manager and Property Manager.




What you'll get to do Promoting a friendly and welcoming atmosphere at the property and ensure that the property is representative of YHA values and mission Daily operations including check-ins/outs, groups movements, activities and events Constantly supporting the team to ensure we maintain high standards of hygiene and safety and providing hands on support to the team Preparing shift reports and communicating relevant information to the Property Manager and other team members.
Acting as the first point of contact in emergency situations, following established protocols and SOP's What are we looking for Experience as a Duty Manager, Shift Manager, Front of House Manager or any Team Leader experience in an accommodation or Hotel style environment RSA, First Aid CPR Certification is beneficial Availability for rotating roster Proven leader with a passion for seeing your team succeed Our Values Our values are at the heart of our organisation and the foundation of our culture.
