We are seeking a qualified and experienced Motor Mechanic (General) to join our growing workshop team on a full time basis.
Key Responsibilities • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in motor vehicles using diagnostic equipment and testing procedures.
• Perform routine vehicle servicing and maintenance, including oil changes, brake repairs, suspension work, steering repairs, and engine tune-ups.
• Inspect, dismantle, repair and reassemble engines, transmissions and other vehicle components.
• Conduct road tests and quality checks to ensure vehicles meet manufacturer and roadworthiness standards.
• Interpret technical manuals, service bulletins and workshop instructions.
• Maintain accurate service records and repair documentation.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with Australian workplace health and safety requirements.




• Work collaboratively with other technicians and workshop staff to ensure efficient workflow and customer satisfaction.
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding vehicle issues, repair recommendations and maintenance requirements.
Essential Requirements • Certificate IV level or higher qualification in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis, or Automotive Technology.
• Minimum one year of recent Australian work experience as a Motor Mechanic.
• Demonstrated experience diagnosing and repairing petrol-powered light vehicles.
• Ability to use modern automotive diagnostic and testing equipment.
• Sound knowledge of vehicle engines, transmissions, suspension, steering and braking systems.
• Strong problem-solving and fault-finding abilities.
• Good written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multicultural team environment and provide professional customer service.
• Commitment to workplace safety, quality workmanship and continuous improvement.
• Current Australian driver's licence.
Desirable • Experience working with a wide range of vehicle makes and models.
• Experience with electronic diagnostic systems and automotive software.
• Additional automotive certifications or manufacturer training.
