Purcell Civil & Construction is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join our growing team.
As a proudly family-owned business, we deliver a diverse range of civil construction and infrastructure projects throughout regional Queensland. Our work spans local government, mining, energy, agriculture and private sector clients, providing our team with exposure to a broad range of projects and opportunities.
Working closely with our Directors and Operations team, you'll play a key role in preparing competitive tenders, planning projects and supporting the successful delivery of works from tender through to completion. This is an opportunity to take ownership of projects, build lasting client relationships and contribute to the continued growth of a respected regional contractor.
About the Role
Prepare detailed cost estimates, tender submissions and supporting documentation for civil construction projects.
Develop project methodologies, construction programs and delivery strategies.
Lead project planning and ensure a seamless transition from tender award to project delivery.
Provide engineering support throughout project delivery and project close-out.
Monitor project budgets, procurement and commercial performance.
Work closely with Supervisors and site teams to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, suppliers and subcontractors.
Identify opportunities for future work and contribute to the continued growth of the business.




About You
Bachelor of Civil Engineering (or equivalent qualification).
Proven experience estimating and delivering civil construction projects.
Strong knowledge of TMR specifications, Queensland Local Government requirements and civil construction practices.
Experience across civil infrastructure projects, including road construction, earthworks, drainage and pavement works.
Strong commercial awareness and the ability to prepare competitive tenders.
Excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
Ability to build strong client relationships and work collaboratively with project teams.
A proactive, practical approach with a commitment to delivering quality outcomes.
