We are seeking a
Project Risk and Assurance Partner
to join our
Risk Assurance
team and play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of projects and change initiatives across the organisation. This position reports to the
Risk Assurance Leader
and works closely with project teams and stakeholders to strengthen project governance, risk management and assurance practices.
About the Role
As the Project Risk and Assurance Partner, you will provide independent oversight, guidance and assurance across a range of projects and change initiatives. You will help identify and assess project risks, review governance and control frameworks, and deliver meaningful reporting to senior leaders and governance committees.
Key responsibilities include:
Conducting project risk assessments and facilitating risk workshops.
Reviewing and challenging project risk registers, treatment plans, issue logs and key assumptions.
Planning and executing project controls assurance activities.
Assessing governance arrangements, decision-making processes, controls and risk management practices.
Monitoring project risks, assurance findings and management actions.
Reporting risk and assurance outcomes to Executive Leadership, governance forums and Board Committees.
Supporting significant project milestones, project health assessments and key delivery decisions.
Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance organisational project risk management and assurance capability.
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
At least 3 years' relevant experience in risk management, audit, assurance, project governance, or project/change delivery.
Working knowledge of project delivery methodologies and governance frameworks.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing reports for senior stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to engage effectively with project teams and business stakeholders.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with excellent attention to detail.
The confidence and capability to provide constructive challenge in a collaborative and outcome-focused manner.
