We are seeking an experienced
Engineering Project Manager
for a
12-month fixed-term contract
to lead the successful delivery of complex engineering and technology projects within a dynamic, customer-focused environment. This is a hands-on role responsible for driving execution, ensuring strong governance, managing stakeholder expectations, and delivering projects on time and within budget. You will play a key role in coordinating cross-functional teams, managing project risks, and ensuring projects are delivered in line with business, customer, and contractual requirements.
What You Will Be Doing
Lead end-to-end project delivery across planning, execution, monitoring, governance, and close-out activities.
Manage project scope, schedule, budget, risks, dependencies, and change control to ensure successful outcomes.
Coordinate cross-functional teams across Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Commercial, Manufacturing, Service, and Delivery functions.
Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, WBS, RACI matrices, risk registers, and project reporting packs.
Track project performance against approved baselines, perform variance analysis, and implement corrective actions where required.
Ensure compliance with Product Lifecycle Process (PLP), project governance requirements, and stage-gate reviews.
Act as the primary interface for customers and stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and expectation management.
Support bid and tender activities through project planning, risk assessment, compliance reviews, and commercial input.
Manage external stakeholders and contractual commitments to ensure successful project execution.
Lead project handovers to operations, manufacturing, service, or support teams to achieve smooth transition and business readiness.
Drive continuous improvement, governance excellence, and disciplined project delivery practices.
Qualifications
What You'll Bring
Proven experience as a Project Manager or Program Manager within engineering, technology, manufacturing, defence, infrastructure, or complex technical environments.
Solid expertise in project controls including planning, scheduling, forecasting, cost management, risk management, and change control.
Experience working within cross-functional and matrix organisations.
Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and drive outcomes across multiple teams.
Hands‐on experience with project management tools such as MS Project, Primavera, SAP, or equivalent platforms.
Strong knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, PRINCE2, or hybrid project delivery methodologies.
Excellent communication, organisation, leadership, and problem‐solving skills.
Degree in Engineering, Technology, Business, Project Management, or a related discipline.
PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent Project Management certification.
Experience delivering customer‐facing projects and managing contractual obligations.
Experience supporting bids, tenders, and commercial project reviews.
Exposure to product development, engineering delivery, manufacturing, or operational project environments.
Experience operating within global organisations and governance‐driven project frameworks.
