Water Technology is an employee-owned Australian engineering consultancy with teams across Australia and New Zealand, delivering technical excellence in flood studies, coastal & marine, environmental planning, civil and environmental engineering and water management. We are dedicated to work that improves communities and the environment by combining science, engineering and practical design.
We currently have opportunities within our Flooding team for a Project or Senior Engineer with strong numerical modelling and project management skills to join our team in South Brisbane. Some of the outcomes expected for this role includes:
Flood modelling, flood management and flood studies
to carry out
technical analysis,
data collection, interpretation, relevant calculations for modelling and
report writing
to contribute to projects across Australia.
Applying your technical and commercial input in
proposals
and identifying business opportunities.
Mentor
junior team members and lead projects
Identify learning and development opportunities that benefits the team
We are seeking people who passionate about making a meaningful impact and driving positive change in flood risk management and innovative water management practices What we are looking for in a candidate includes:
A Bachelor's Degree in
Environmental or Civil Engineering
or Bachelor of Science
Significant experience in
hydrological and hydraulic modelling
(
TUFLOW, & GIS
).
Experience in
management of small - medium projects.
Consulting or council/local government experience is preferred (preferably 5+ years for project level, 8+ years for
Senior level).
Passion for environmental and water sustainability and management, and an interest in the impacts of flood events.
Strong
report writing
skills (there will be an assessment as part of the hiring process if you are shortlisted).

Salary range for this role is $90,000 - $130,000 + super
