Due to the continued growth of our business, Stockmans Motel & Restaurant is seeking 2 (two) experienced and passionate Full-Time Chefs to join our kitchen team.
This is an exciting opportunity to work in a busy and well-established hospitality venue with a reputation for quality food and excellent customer service.
Salary:
$75,000 – $85,000 per annum plus superannuation
Visa sponsorship may be available for suitably qualified and experienced candidates.
Key Responsibilities
Planning menus and estimating food and labour costs
Preparing and cooking high-quality meals in a busy kitchen environment
Monitoring the quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
Working closely with management and kitchen staff regarding food preparation and service requirements
Demonstrating cooking techniques and assisting with staff training and development
Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness
Assisting with stock control, ordering and cost management




Ensuring compliance with all food safety and workplace health and safety requirements
Supervising and mentoring junior kitchen staff when required
Skills and Experience
Minimum 2 years' experience as a Chef in a busy commercial kitchen
Relevant trade qualifications preferred
Experience training, developing and mentoring kitchen teams
Strong communication and organisational skills
Ability to work efficiently under pressure
Passion for quality food and customer satisfaction
Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
