J ob Overview: Educators provide care and supervision for children at the childcare centre whilst having a strong understanding of National Quality Standards (NQS) and child protection laws.
Maintains current Working with Children check and National Police checks.
Job Tasks: • Design and run play-based learning programs using frameworks like the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) • Maintain a safe, clean, and engaging environment that meets health and regulatory guidelines.
• Build strong communication links with parents and share updates on children's progress.
• Keep accurate records of observations, developmental milestones, and daily reflections.

• Leads a team with a focus on development and mentoring.
• Works collaboratively to plan, document, and evaluate learning programs.
• Ensures the program aligns with Austin Cove's values and curriculum and is accessible for family input.
• Incorporates the knowledge, culture, and interests of children and educators into activities.
• Builds strong relationships with families and supports children during key moments.
• Engages with children,
fostering learning through teaching strategies, play, and documentation.
• Uses positive guidance for behaviour and ensures children's safety and wellbeing.
• Encourages children's independence in daily routines and ensures appropriate attire.
• Maintains a secure, clean environment and manages any risks.
• Provides first aid when necessary and follows all safety procedures.
• Mentors Educators to ensure high-quality educational practices.
• Complete educational documentation to support each child's learning and developments such as preparing weekly programming with age-appropriate activities that support the children's interests, developmental needs, and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
• Write weekly observations for each child, analysing their learning, and planning meaningful extensions to support their ongoing development.
• Compile developmental milestone assessments for each child every six months to monitor their progress across all areas of development.
• Write weekly critical reflections to evaluate our learning program, teaching practices, and the children's engagement, and to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Eligibility Requirements: Qualification: Relevant Tertiary Qualification, current first aid and CPR certificates Licences and Clearances: Working with Children check, National Police check Experience - At least 1 year of experience in role.
Salary - $***** - $85,000 plus super Only eligible and short-listed applicants will be contacted.
