If you've worked on automatic doors, garage doors, roller shutters, industrial doors, access control systems, or similar electromechanical equipment , this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
We're looking for a motivated Service Technician to join a growing team specialising in automated and manual sliding gate systems.
Every day brings a new challenge as you travel to customer sites, diagnose faults, carry out repairs, and keep critical access systems operating safely and efficiently.
? What You'll Be Doing As a Service Technician, you'll be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing a wide range of automated sliding gate systems, including: Diagnosing faults on automated and manual sliding gates.
Repairing and replacing motors, gearboxes, rollers, tracks, limit switches, control boards, sensors and safety devices.
Performing preventative maintenance including lubrication, alignment checks, tension adjustments and safety testing.
Troubleshooting low-voltage electrical systems, control panels, photocells, keypads and access control equipment.
Completing mechanical repairs including track alignment, hardware replacement and minor fabrication where required.
Assisting with the installation of new gate motors, automation kits and accessories.
Communicating with customers to explain faults, repairs and maintenance recommendations.
Completing accurate service reports and documenting work completed.




Maintaining a clean, safe and organised service vehicle and tools.
Working in accordance with Australian safety standards and company procedures.
✅ What We're Looking For We're seeking someone with strong mechanical aptitude and experience working on automated or mechanical systems.
Ideally, you'll have experience with: Automated sliding gates Garage doors Automatic doors Roller shutters Industrial doors Access control systems Mechanical maintenance or field service Other electromechanical equipment You'll also bring: Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
Understanding of low-voltage wiring, relays, limit switches and motor control systems.
Ability to read wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
Confidence using hand tools, power tools and diagnostic equipment.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Current Australian Driver's Licence.
White Card (preferred).
Mechanical or electrical trade qualifications (highly regarded but not essential).
Welding or fabrication experience is advantageous.
