Short Description
Join a well-established Mackay transport and maintenance business as a Part-Time Diesel Mechanic. Working 25 hours per week across 3 flexible days, you'll service and repair medium rigid diesel trucks in a supportive team environment. This is a 36 month labour hire opportunity with the potential for permanent employment for the right candidate.
About Our Client
Our client is a respected transport and maintenance company based in Mackay, specialising in the servicing and repair of medium rigid diesel trucks. Due to continued demand, they are seeking a trade-qualified Diesel Mechanic to join their team on a part-time basis, with the opportunity to secure permanent employment for the right person.
What You Will Be Doing
Servicing, maintaining and repairing diesel trucks up to 15 tonnes.
Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic faults.
Carrying out routine servicing, inspections and preventative maintenance.
Repairing and replacing engines, gearboxes, clutches, brakes, suspension, steering and driveline components.
Using diagnostic equipment to identify faults and complete repairs efficiently.




Performing breakdown repairs as required.
Completing job cards and maintenance records accurately.
Ensuring all work is completed safely and in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
What You Will Need
Trade Qualification as a Diesel Mechanic or Diesel Fitter.
Experience servicing and repairing medium rigid trucks up to 15 tonnes.
Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Commitment to safe work practices.
Current Driver's Licence.
