Pay: AU$110,****** – AU$135,****** per year Job description: About the role A rare opportunity to step out of facility shift work and lead the care of one person, in one home, properly.
Your client is a professional and entrepreneur, still very active in business, who lives with a physical disability.
He lives independently in a three-bedroom apartment near Manly.
He has 24/7 support needs, an established NDIS plan, and a clear goal: replace a revolving roster of agency carers with a small, secure, well-led team.
House Manager you are the anchor of that team and the client's single point of contact .
You provide hands-on support yourself, coordinate the other carers (supplied by an established homecare provider), run the household, and act as the buffer between the client and the many services around him — so he can put his energy into work and life, not care logistics.
Key responsibilities Lead care: deliver daily personal care and support during your shifts; set the standard for how care is provided in the home.
Roster coordination: build and manage the 24/7 roster with the homecare provider; keep the team small and consistent; arrange cover; induct new carers to the client's routines.
Clinical oversight: maintain the care plan; monitor health, skin integrity, medications and equipment; escalate to GP/specialists; liaise with allied health and the clinical nurse consultant.
Household management: oversee cleaning, laundry, meals, supplies, maintenance and consumables ordering so the home simply runs.
Administration liaison: single contact point for the homecare provider, plan manager, support coordinator, therapists and NDIA; keep simple records of shifts, incidents and spending against the plan.
Appointments errands: manage medical and specialist appointments end to end — booking, preparation, transport and follow-up — and take care of day-to-day errands so they don't land on the client.
Overnight support:
not a requirement of this role — overnight support is provided by the outsourced homecare team.
Occasional sleepover shifts are optional by agreement, in a private bedroom with ensuite set aside for the carer on duty.
Selection criteria — essential Registered Nurse (current AHPRA registration), or equivalent clinical qualification with strong experience.
Solid administrative experience in a healthcare setting — rostering, coordination, records, liaison across services.
Demonstrated ability to lead and organise other care staff.
NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain before starting) and NSW driver licence.
Excellent written and spoken English; impeccably presented and professional; a strong, structured and highly organised communicator — calm, direct, takes ownership of challenges and works to resolve them.
Selection criteria — desirable Experience supporting people with physical disability, including manual handling and pressure care.
Familiarity with the NDIS: plans, price limits, plan managers, support coordination.
Experience in private/home-based care or a similar single-client leadership role.
What's offered Full-time role with a competitive salary package (guide: $110k–$135k + super, commensurate with experience and engagement model), funded through an established NDIS plan.
One client, one home — continuity, autonomy and visible impact instead of facility churn.
Private ensuite bedroom for overnight shifts; waterfront location near Manly.
Genuine say in building the care team and systems from the ground up.
Engagement flexible: via an established host-employer provider, or direct arrangement, depending on preference and advice.
How to apply Send a short cover letter addressing the essential criteria, plus a CV, to the client's support coordinator.
Shortlisted applicants will meet the client at the apartment.
A trial period on the roster will be agreed before the lead role is confirmed.
Licence/Certification: • RN (current AHPRA registration) or equivalent (Required) • NDIS Worker Screening Check (Required) Work Location: In person
