Job Description Position: ASO6 Project and Procurement Officer Location: Canberra, ACT Start date: ASAP Duration: Approx.
9 months with potential to extend Pay rate: $***** to $***** per hour plus 12% superannuation Citizenship requirements: Must be an Australian citizen or Permanent Resident at time of application Overview An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Project and Procurement Officer to join a government organisation delivering major land development and urban infrastructure projects across the ACT.
Working within a collaborative project delivery team, you will provide procurement and project administration support across a range of land development initiatives.
This role offers the opportunity to contribute to high-profile projects that help shape sustainable communities while working in a supportive, professional environment.
Responsibilities Support end-to-end procurement processes, including coordinating documentation, approvals, meetings, timelines and stakeholder input.
Prepare, manage and monitor consultant briefs, contracts and project budgets.
Draft reports, briefing notes, correspondence and operational planning documents.
Maintain accurate project records and ensure compliance with record management requirements.
Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to support successful project delivery.
Monitor project progress, identify risks and escalate issues where appropriate.
Provide general project and administrative support as required.
Experience/requirements Experience supporting procurement activities and project administration within a government or similar environment.
Robust organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports, briefs and correspondence.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders.
High attention to detail with the ability to identify risks and ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
Experience managing project documentation, consultant contracts and budgets.
