Overview
Security Officer position at a leading Australian university campus in Brisbane (Banyo).
This is a permanent Monday – Friday role with a focus on active shift work, customer service, and incident response in a professional campus setting.
Location: Banyo, Brisbane.
Roster: Monday – Friday *********.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain a visible security presence and provide customer service support.
Respond to incidents, alarms and requests for assistance in real time.
Enforce campus policies and safety procedures.
Liaise with students, staff, visitors and contractors.
Notify and escalate all complaints, occurrences, incidents, emergencies in accordance with established escalation procedures.
Maintain accurate logs and incident reports.
Communicate with site supervisors, clients, and emergency services as needed.
Maintain a safe and secure setting for students, staff, visitors, stakeholders and contractors.
Support critical incident and emergency responses and assist security operations teams with command, control, and coordination.




Coordinate and communicate with on-ground personnel, ensuring clear and accurate information flow.
Mail room services, traffic and carpark management.
Act as a Warden in accordance with Campus Emergency Management Plans.
Qualifications & Requirements
Unarmed Guard and Crowd Controller
QLD Security Licence
Valid First Aid & CPR certification
Ability to swim (on-campus pool response)
Familiarity with radio and communication systems
Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond quickly to incidents
Basic computer literacy and report writing skills
Basic level with Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
Understanding of WH&S; and the ability to identify and manage risks
