We are currently seeking a reliable and motivated
Kitchen Hand
to join a busy catering operation located at
Puckapunyal Military Base
.
This role suits someone who works well with limited supervision and takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment.
About the Role
You'll be supporting chefs and kitchen staff in the day‐to‐day operations of a high‐volume kitchen.
The role involves a mix of cleaning, food preparation assistance, and general kitchen support.
Shifts are rostered across 7 days
, between
9:00am and 7:30pm
, with either
two 30‐minute breaks or one 1‐hour break
per shift.
Hours will generally range between
***** hours per week
.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas, including washing dishes and equipment
Assist chefs with basic food preparation tasks
Receive, check, and safely store deliveries




Support daily kitchen operations as required
Follow all kitchen hygiene, food safety, and WHS procedures
Skills & Experience
Previous experience as a kitchen hand or in a similar hospitality role
Ability to work a flexible roster across weekdays and weekends
Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions
Strong teamwork skills and ability to work in a fast‐paced environment
Comfortable working with limited supervision
