As a Food Services Consultant with the Eyre and Far North Local Health Network (EFNLHN), you will play a meaningful role in shaping the quality of food and catering services across Acute and Aged Care facilities serving some of South Australia's most geographically unique communities.
What You'll Be Doing
Working within the Nutrition and Hydration Team alongside Dietitians and Speech Pathologists, you will partner with site-based catering and management staff to drive consistent, high-quality food service delivery.
Your day-to-day scope includes:
Supporting the implementation and ongoing review of menu and catering services aligned to relevant nutrition standards across EFNLHN facilities
Maintaining and monitoring food safety programs in accordance with the FSANZ Food Standards Code
Leading continuous improvement initiatives and building workforce capability across catering teams
Supporting audit preparedness, addressing compliance gaps, and identifying equipment and training needs
What You'll Bring
Demonstrated experience in food services, institutional catering, or a related healthcare food service environment
Sound working knowledge of the FSANZ Food Standards Code and food safety program requirements
Experience conducting audits or compliance reviews within a health or aged care setting
Ability to build effective working relationships with clinical and non-clinical teams, including allied health professionals
Strong communication skills with the capacity to deliver training and support workforce development
Willingness to travel across EFNLHN sites within the Eyre and Far North region
