Utilities/Industrial/infrastructure sector WA based with state interstate travel)Field Office Hybrid Our client has an opportunity for a proactive, high-energy WHS qualified who thrives on building safety cultures from the ground up.
We are seeking an experienced Safety Advisor / Safety Business Partner to drive, continuously improve, and champion safety standards across our expanding national operations.
You will act as a trusted coaching partner to site managers, supervisors, and field crews.
balancing hands-on field engagement (2–3 days per week) with strategic WHS management, policy maintenance, and compliance across the business.

Key Responsibilities include SMS Compliance: Develop, maintain, and continuously improve our Safety Management System in alignment with ISO Standards and national safety legislation.
Field Engagement: Spend 2–3 days a week out in the field providing coaching, guidance, and monitoring to promote safe work practices on active job sites.
Culture Education: Foster a proactive safety culture by delivering engaging WHS training and toolbox talks tailored to field-based teams.
Risk Hazard Management: Conduct audits, inspections, and risk assessments; implement effective control measures; and maintain complete authority to stop any job deemed unsafe.
Incident Trend Analysis: Lead incident investigations, analyze injury/hazard data, and implement timely corrective action strategies.
National Standards: Review and align safety policies and procedures across multi-state operations.
What we are looking for: Experience: Minimum 3–5 years in a dedicated safety advisory or business partner role (experience within utilities, infrastructure, or heavy industry is highly regarded).
Qualifications: Relevant tertiary qualifications in Work Health Safety (or equivalent discipline).
Licence Travel Flexibility:
Valid Class C Driver's Licence with full willingness to undertake regular intrastate and interstate travel (including overnight stays in regional areas where field crews are based).
Technical Skills: Strong proficiency with MS Office suite and digital safety reporting systems.
Core Competencies: Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
Analytical mindset with a keen eye for detail and trend identification.
Self-starter with high energy, sound judgment, and a solution-focused mindset.
Demonstrated ability to motivate teams and coach workforce personnel at all levels.
