Monday to Friday | 2 x Full Time Roles | Salisbury Location 2 Roles Available: Fabrication Leading Hand Mechanical Leading Hand Lead a Team | On the Tools Work Smith and Co Recruitment are looking for two experienced and driven Leading Hands to join the team of a highly reputable heavy-duty semi-trailers and transport equipment company located in Salisbury.
There are two roles that are available: Leading Hand Service Technician (Mechanical) and Leading Hand Service Technician (Fabrication) Key Responsibilities - Fabrication: Lead, guide and support a small team of vehicle body builders and fabricators Allocate Daily tasks Meet deadlines and production schedules Carry out and oversee fabrication, welding, assembly and fitting Interpret drawings Inspect completed work Troubleshoot fabrication issues and implement solutions Key Responsibilities - Mechanical: Lead, guide and support a small team of mechanics Allocate daily tasks Perform and oversee servicing, diagnostics and repairs on heavy vehicles and trailers Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues and provide technical guidance Provide on the job training and mentoring Key Responsibilities - Both Roles:



Complete and review job cards and maintenance records Report workshop performance, issues and resource requirements Liaise with Workshop Supervisors Ensure all work is done safely and in line with WHS standard Job Details Pay rates: Between $50-$60 p/h + Overtime, Penalties Hours: Monday to Friday : 7:30am-3:36pm Location: Salisbury Position: Full Time Role Key Requirements: Trade Qualified in Vehicle Body Building, Fabrication or Heavy Vehicle Mechanics (Mechanical) Trade Qualified in Fabrication, Boilermaking or related field Proven welding skills (MIG/TIG desirable) Previous leading hand or supervisory experience Experience in manufacturing or heavy industrial environment Forklift ticket (desirable) First Aid Certificate (desirable) HV Mechanical Leading Hand AIS accreditation or willingness to obtain Ability to operate a variety of vehicle and machinery safely Robust attention to detail and commitment to safety standards How to Apply If you think you are a strong candidate for this role.
