13/7/26 4055571 Tax Manager | ASX Listed Group | Succession to Head of Tax Senior Executive Sydney Permanent / Full Time Job Description This is an outstanding opportunity to join the corporate tax function of a major ASX-listed organisation with multi-billion-dollar revenue, operations across Australia and New Zealand, with an ambitious growth strategy.
Reporting directly to an experienced Head of Tax, you will become a key member of a high-performing in-house tax team, taking ownership of tax compliance, governance and reporting across a diverse group of businesses.
For the right individual, this role offers a genuine succession pathway into a future Head of Tax position.
The Opportunity Working within a collaborative and commercially focused finance function, your responsibilities will include: Managing the Group's income tax, GST, FBT and other indirect tax compliance obligations Overseeing tax compliance across Australian and Current Zealand entities together with several joint ventures Leading and developing a small team of tax professionals Supporting half-year and year-end tax reporting, including tax effect accounting and tax balance sheet preparation Driving tax governance initiatives and contributing to Board-sponsored tax risk and assurance projects Partnering with Finance, Executive stakeholders and external advisers to provide practical commercial tax advice Supporting strategic projects including acquisitions and business initiatives as opportunities arise Why This Role?

You'll ideally bring: CA or equivalent qualification Approximately 8-10+ years' taxation experience Big 4 or mid-tier background combined with in-house corporate tax experience Robust knowledge of Australian income tax, GST, FBT and tax reporting Experience preparing or reviewing tax effect accounting and financial statement disclosures Previous experience leading or mentoring team members Strong communication skills with the confidence to engage senior finance stakeholders Excellent attention to detail and a genuine sense of ownership This role suits someone who understands that delivering accurate compliance and governance is the foundation for becoming a trusted commercial adviser.
