Job description Junior Metallurgist / Metallurgical Technician • Yatala, QLD • Monday to Friday laboratory environment • Hands-on metallurgical testing exposure • Degree or Lab Tech qualification Role Opportunity The Junior Metallurgist will support the metallurgical and process engineering team in the evaluation, optimisation, and operation of mineral processing and extractive metallurgy processes.
Working under the guidance of experienced metallurgists, the successful candidate will assist with test work programmes, data analysis, process monitoring, plant performance reviews, and technical reporting across mining and mineral processing projects.
This role provides an excellent prospect for a recent graduate or early-career laboratory professional to develop practical and technical expertise within the resources sector.

• Support the analysis and interpretation of test work results.
• Assist in developing process flow sheets and mass balances.




Technical Analysis Reporting • Prepare technical reports, presentations, and data summaries.
• Conduct statistical analysis of metallurgical and process data.
• Assist with sampling campaigns and reconciliation activities.
Project Support • Assist senior metallurgists on studies ranging from concept through to detailed design.
• Support trade-off studies, process design activities, and equipment selection.
Health, Safety Environment • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
• Participate in safety meetings, risk assessments, and hazard identification activities.
• Promote safe work practices in laboratories, processing plants, and project environments.
