Field Technician – Radio Equipment Installation (Mining - FIFO) Initial 3-month contract with extension potential FIFO to Karratha | 8 days on / 6 days off roster Install and commission Tait radio communications equipment on heavy mining machinery Immediate start with mobilisation targeted for the next scheduled swing About the Role Green Light Worldwide is seeking a Field Technician to support the installation and commissioning of radio communication equipment across a major mining operation.
This is a hands-on FIFO role working on heavy mobile mining equipment, installing and commissioning Tait radio systems while ensuring work is completed safely and to a high standard.
The successful candidate will have a strong technical or electrical background and enjoy working in a field-based mining environment.
Responsibilities Install and commission Tait radio communication equipment on heavy mining assets Perform installations on haul trucks, excavators, and other mobile mining equipment Conduct testing and verification of installed communication systems Complete field-based troubleshooting and technical support as required Maintain accurate installation documentation and records Work closely with site personnel to ensure successful project delivery Adhere to all site safety procedures and operational requirements Requirements Experience as a Communications Technician , Field Technician, or similar technical role Hands-on experience installing radio or communications equipment Experience working on heavy mobile mining equipment is highly desirable Background as an Auto Electrician , Electrical Fitter ,
