Part-time 19 hours per week, On-going position Sherwood Park Glenormiston Campuses $70,385 per annum (pro-rata), plus superannuation The Student Wellbeing Support Officer works to mitigate factors that affect the personal, social, educational and employment achievements of enrolled students.
The role involves assessment of individual student needs and risks that is supported by implementation of strategies to address these needs, including referral to external agencies where appropriate.
The Student Wellbeing Officer supports student retention and success by helping students overcome barriers to attendance and learning with the aim to complete their studies, and access appropriate education, training and employment pathways.
Through a cooperative approach, the Wellbeing Officer will also support and assist teachers identify in classroom strategies and support the management of individual student challenges.
The role includes the design and delivery of events, including student orientation activities, and recognition of significant days to strengthen student connection with SWTAFE and community, promoting inclusion and awareness, creating an engaging and enjoyable experience.
The must haves Mandatory requirements A relevant degree or diploma with current and relevant experience Employee Victorian Working with Children Check Satisfactory National Police Records Check Highly desirable requirements Certificate IV - Training and Assessment or similar teaching qualification Previous experience in an educational or training environment About us SWTAFE is the leading vocational education provider in South West Victoria.
