We're partnering with a leading Banking Institute undergoing a significant transformation, with the launch of a new division.
This is a rare opportunity to join at ground level and play a key role in shaping risk oversight across a high-growth, technology-led business spanning commodities, trade finance and energy transition.
You will sit within the 2nd Line Risk function, acting as a true business partner to front office teams.
Working closely with senior stakeholders, you'll provide pragmatic risk advice and challenge across new products, trading activities, and large-scale transformation initiatives, including AI-driven platform and process builds.
Key responsibilities for the opportunity include; Provide operational risk oversight and challenge across commodities and trade finance activities Partner with front office on current product development and trading initiatives Support major technology and transformation programs (AI, data, platforms) Analyse risks, controls,



and incidents to identify themes and uplift risk maturity Influence and engage senior stakeholders while balancing commercial outcomes with sound risk management The successful candidate will have strong operational risk, enterprise risk or compliance management experience with a deep understanding of at least one of the following: commodities, trade finance or financial markets.
An understanding of trade lifecycle and operational process (physical commodities) would be highly advantageous.
Aside from strong technical skills, the successful candidate will be comfortable with senior stakeholder management and proven experience challenging and influencing stakeholder management while being able to provide pragmatic and commercially viable risk advice to the organisation.
