About the Role: Pizza Box Cafe is a well-established, family-friendly venue in the heart of Kogarah, known for our traditional Lebanese pizzas, gourmet pizzas, and fresh baked goods.
We are looking for a skilled and passionate Baker to join our team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional looking to further their career with sponsorship support.
Key Responsibilities: Prepare, mix, and bake a variety of bakery products, including bread, pastries, and pizza bases, adhering to established recipes and production standards.
Operate and maintain commercial baking equipment, including ovens, dough sheeters, and mixers.
Manage the fermentation and proofing process to ensure product consistency and quality.
Assist with inventory management, including ordering supplies and managing stock rotation.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment,



strictly adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations.
Work efficiently in a fast-paced setting to meet production deadlines and customer demand.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations and assist with pizza preparation as needed.
Requirements: Proven experience as a Baker in a commercial kitchen or cafe environment (minimum 2-3 years full time experience preferred).
Strong knowledge of baking techniques, including sourdough and fermentation processes.
Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and public holidays as required (Monday - Sunday roster).
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes precisely.
Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
