Job description Assembly Technician Location: Windsor, Brisbane | Full-Time: Monday to Friday (08:*******:30) Pay Rate: $***** per hour + Super About the Role We are looking for a hands-on Assembly Technician to join a leading advanced manufacturing team based in Windsor, Brisbane.
In this role, you'll assemble, test, and inspect state-of-the-art radar systems, sub-assemblies, and associated equipment used on major mining and infrastructure projects around the world.
Working closely with Engineering, Operations, and Quality teams, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality products while contributing to continuous improvement and technical innovation.
What You'll Be Doing Assembling and testing advanced radar systems, sub-assemblies, and associated equipment in line with engineering drawings and work instructions.
Completing mechanical and electrical assembly tasks while maintaining exceptional quality and safety standards.
Conducting testing and inspections to ensure products meet quality, functional, and performance requirements.
Identifying and assisting with troubleshooting production and assembly issues using structured problem-solving techniques.
Supporting new product introductions, engineering changes, and evolving production processes.
Collaborating with Engineering, Operations, and Quality teams to resolve issues and improve manufacturing outcomes.
Contributing ideas to improve build quality, production efficiency, safety, and repeatability.
Maintaining accurate production documentation and effectively managing work-in-progress, tools, and materials.
Participating in workplace safety, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Developing your technical skills through ongoing training and career progression.
What You'll Bring Previous experience in manufacturing, production, assembly, mechanical,
electrical, or technical environments.
Robust hands-on assembly skills with excellent attention to detail.
Mechanical or electrical experience (formal qualifications are advantageous but not essential).
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and work instructions.
Experience using hand and power tools in a structured manufacturing environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to identify and resolve assembly issues.
A commitment to workplace health and safety.
A reliable work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn.
The ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
