Opportunity A rewarding opportunity is available for a Staff Specialist Geriatrician to join a well-established geriatric medicine service within a regional referral health network.
The role is supported by an experienced Clinical Nurse Practitioner and multidisciplinary team, allowing a strong focus on delivering high-quality care for older people across inpatient, outpatient, community, and residential settings.
The position involves the assessment and management of complex, multi-morbid medical conditions affecting cognition, function, and independence, with opportunities to contribute to service development, education, and contemporary models of care for an ageing population.
Hospital The hospital is the principal referral centre for a large inland region of northern New South Wales and provides a comprehensive range of acute and subacute services.
Following a major redevelopment exceeding $200 million, the facility now offers more than 250 beds and approximately 350 treatment spaces, modern clinical environments, and expanded capacity across medical, surgical, and critical care services.
The hospital performs over 9,000 surgical procedures annually across multiple operating theatres and functions as a designated trauma service,



supported by an onsite helicopter retrieval capability and a broad network of visiting and resident medical specialists.

Requirements • Specialist registration with AHPRA/FRACP – Geriatrics • Currently enrolled in the RACP-Geri training program and within 6 months of fellowship • IMG with a confirmed RACP interview date • IMG assessed by RACP and deemed substantially comparable • UK CCT
