SENIOR REMEDIAL BUILDING CONSULTANT | CANBERRA ACT $140,000 - $180,000 + Super + Career Progression Ready to work on some of Australia's most technically challenging remedial building projects?
We're seeking an experienced Senior Remedial Building Consultant to join a leading specialist consultancy delivering façade remediation, waterproofing, concrete repair, structural remediation and building defect investigations across commercial, residential, strata and government sectors.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a technically robust professional looking to combine consulting, project management and client engagement while working on complex, high-profile projects.
About the Role As a Senior Remedial Building Consultant, you'll manage projects from initial investigation through to final completion, providing expert technical advice and delivering practical remediation solutions.
Working closely with clients, contractors, engineers and consultants, you'll oversee every stage of the project lifecycle-from defect diagnosis and reporting through to tendering, construction management and project close-out.
Key Responsibilities * Conduct building defect investigations, façade inspections and diagnostic assessments * Prepare technical reports, specifications and remedial scopes of work * Develop remediation strategies for façade, waterproofing, concrete and structural defects * Manage projects through investigation, design, tendering, construction and completion * Coordinate engineers,



contractors and specialist consultants * Administer tenders and evaluate contractor submissions * Act as Superintendent during construction phases * Monitor project budgets, programmes and financial performance * Conduct quality inspections and critical stage site reviews * Build and maintain solid client relationships * Lead project meetings and provide technical advice throughout project delivery * Mentor junior consultants and contribute to technical excellence across the business Skills Experience Essential * Minimum 5 years' experience within remedial building, façade engineering or building consultancy * Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline * Strong knowledge of façade systems, waterproofing, concrete remediation and structural defects * Excellent report writing and technical communication skills * Proven project management experience from investigation through to completion * Strong leadership and stakeholder management abilities Highly Regarded * Experience working with strata, commercial, government or institutional clients * Strong knowledge of the NCC and Australian Standards * Expert Witness experience (advantageous) What's on Offer?
