We're currently looking for an experienced Mechanical Technician to join our team in Bayswater.
Responsibilities will include : Assemble and install current and modified mechanical assemblies, components, machine tools and controls, and hydraulic power systems; Assist Mechanical Engineers and the Engineering Team in the design of mechanical equipment and trailers; Collect, analyze data and prepare diagrams; Ensure that company policies and procedures are adhered to in day-to-day tasks and finished work are within specifications, regulations and contract provisions; Estimate material costs, quantities and machine requirements; Maintain job site costing (time/job cards)



and plant maintenance records; Organize, supervise inspection and maintenance of machines and plant; Oversee fitters to ensure mechanical, electrical and hydraulic assemblies are installed as per plans and designs; Perform and direct field tests; Select appropriate tools and equipment for specific tasks for projects; Undertake special projects as instructed by the Workshop Manager/Department Supervisor or Company Directors; Work both in a team environment and without supervision; All other tasks as requested.
To be considered you will need a qualification relevant to being a Mechanical Technician and at least two years of relevant post qualification employment experience OR at least 3 years of relevant employment experience as a Mechanical Technician.
A remuneration package of $90,000 - $100,000 will be offered to the successful applicant.
