Provide accurate and commercially sound technical packs Specify all construction, fabric and accessory details for all styles being ranged and developed Ensure technical packs are sent to all suppliers in the time frame set for each range.
This includes all relevant information for each style Facilitate all daily fit sessions with Buyers to ensure that all fit changes/comments are processed with comments and photos and are clearly communicated to relevant suppliers based on the Buyers' requirements within the time frames of delivery Provide necessary information and assistance to suppliers relating to the make, fit and quality of each order Alert Buyers of any concerns about specific styles that may need extensions due to the number of fits that have occurred Check, approve and file all bulk specs from suppliers.
Check grading and key size 10 measurements Fit all shipment samples prior to delivery to ensure all requirements specified by the company have been met for both measurements and quality on a daily basis Complete Merchandise report responses on behalf of the Production team and the Buyers.
Upload to the internal system to update Store Managers on a weekly basis Suppliers Communicate and liaise with local and overseas suppliers to ensure fit/grading queries are resolved and deliveries are maintained Build strong working relationships with suppliers Ensure clear, exact and urgent communication with suppliers Quality Assurance Liaise with DC and VM re garment issues Review and follow up all fit issues from merchandise report Follow up any fit and quality issues found with bulk product and review with suppliers.




Measure fit and shipment samples as required to assess problems with bulk garments Sample Management Clear out fit samples from wardrobe that are no longer needed and coordinate with Administrator for these to be set up for sale or sent to outlet stores Ensure all fit samples are put away and correctly filed in the wardrobe after fit sessions on a daily basis Photograph new season garments and allocate style numbers in the company's own internal system Administration Maintain an efficient and tidy wardrobe Process all relevant paperwork Maintain all agreed filing systems Health and Safety Adhere to all Health and Safety policies and procedures Ensure continual Health Safety education Proactively identify and mitigate risks Reports any incidences Other Identify continuous improvement opportunities on an ongoing basis Other related duties as required from time to time Adhere at all times to all company policies, systems and procedures PERSONAL PROFILE TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES Professional Experience 5+ years garment technician 5+ years patternmaking (desired) 2+ years working with overseas suppliers e.g. China, Bangladesh (desired) 2+ years volume retailing (desired) Specialist Skills Fit tech skills Pattern Making Sound knowledge of garment construction and knowledge of fabrics (knits, wovens and knitwear) Firm but fair negotiation skills Ability to write clearly and concisely Works well under pressure Can build strong relationships High attention to detail and accuracy Planning, organisation, and time/deadline management Ability to multitask Adaptable and flexible Qualification(s) NCEA Level 2 or equivalent Fashion Design degree (Desired) Systems Intermediate computer literacy.
Proficient use of MS Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and Photoshop Elements
