About the Role Join a busy regional bridge maintenance team based in Wagga, supporting the delivery of bridge repairs, inspections and maintenance across NSW.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys outdoor work, takes safety seriously and is comfortable travelling when required.
Position: Works Assistant (PQR) – $*****/hr + super Location: Wagga Wagga Roster: 9-day fortnight (76 hours/fortnight) Hours: 8.5 hours per day Start Date: ASAP Finish Date: 24 December **** Travel/LAFHA: Occasional travel and overnight stays are required.
Accommodation and allowances are provided when working away from the Wagga depot.




Key Responsibilities Assist with bridge maintenance and repair works Perform general labouring and construction support tasks Operate safely around live traffic environments Follow WHS policies, procedures and protected work practices Complete work to quality standards and project requirements Use hand and power tools safely and effectively Communicate with team members, contractors and the public Support traffic control activities when required Complete basic computer-based documentation and records Contribute to a positive, safety-focused team culture About You You will ideally have: White Card (essential) Current/valid Class C Driver Licence or higher Workers on Foot ticket or willingness to obtain before commencement (at own cost) Traffic Control tickets or willingness to obtain within required timeframe (at own cost) Experience in bridge, civil, road or construction works Ability to perform physically demanding outdoor work Comfortable working near live traffic Good communication and teamwork skills Basic computer skills Willingness to travel and work occasional overtime when required Ability to pass a National Police Check (required) Full Australian working rights (Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or holder of a valid long-term Australian work visa).
