Locum Sonographer or Dual Location: Far North, QLD Salary: Competitive locum rates DOE + Super We are seeking an experienced Sonographer or dual to join a busy medical imaging department in beautiful Far North Queensland, where the rainforest meets the reef.
Please quote job reference: ******* About our Client, your new employer: On the beautiful coast of Far North Queensland, our client is a large health service operating across multiple locations offering a wide range of services including but not limited to accident and emergency, mental health, allied health, specialist services and obstetrics.
A little about the role: We are seeking a Sonographer or dual for a locum role from 10 November for an ongoing duration, with a strong focus on obstetric and general ultrasound.
You'll perform high-quality imaging in line with departmental checklists and protocols, ensuring patient comfort and safety at all times.
The department maintains a steady pace, busy but not high-volume offering a balanced workload and strong emphasis on quality care.
All durations of 4 weeks of more will be favorably considered.
Duties you will be responsible for: Perform a broad range of ultrasound scans, using Canon Aplio i800 equipment.
Always provide a high level of patient care.




Follow the protocols and procedures of the department Collaborate and communicate effectively with colleagues and patients.
Skills and Experience: Demonstrated experience working in a similar position.
Broad skill set, experienced in obstetric imaging Effective communication with patients, staff, and other medical and non-medical personnel.
ASAR Accredited Medical Sonographer.
Experience working in a regional hospital setting will be highly regarded.
