COVID Proof and essential service during COVID time Life-long learning and career development opportunities About the Role: Reporting to the Branch General Manager (with a dotted line to the National Engineering Manager), the Engineering Manager is responsible for leading the end-to-end engineering function at our Wollongong site , supporting the commissioning and ongoing optimisation of a highly automated production facility.
This role will play a critical part in transitioning the site from commissioning through to stable, high-performing operations, ensuring system reliability, improving automation capability, and leading a high-performing engineering team.
Key Responsiblities are: Lead commissioning, handover, and optimisation of plant and automated systems Drive equipment performance, uptime, and system reliability Oversee preventative maintenance and fault-finding across mechanical, electrical,



and automation systems Deliver automation and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiencyLead capital projects, ensuring delivery on time and within budget Build and develop a high-performing engineering team Manage contractors and ensure compliance with WHS and regulatory requirements Maintain safe, compliant operations and high standards of housekeeping (5S) Key skills and Experience required: Trade or tertiary qualifications in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical) Strong experience in automated or industrial production environments Proven background in commissioning, maintenance leadership, or plant optimisation Demonstrated ability to improve system reliability and drive continuous improvement Strong troubleshooting capability across integrated mechanical, electrical, and control systems Experience delivering capital projects and managing contractors Working knowledge of WHS, Australian standards, and Lean/TPM methodologies Effective leadership skills with the ability to build team capability and performance Managerial role for a stable reputable market leader, leading your own team of professionals with great career progression generous pay.
