Job description Senior Safety Coordinator– Kimberley Region About the Role We are seeking an experienced Senior Safety Coordinator to lead the delivery of Safety, Health and Wellbeing (SHW) support across major infrastructure and project works in the Kimberley Region.
Reporting to the Regional SHW Manager, this role plays a critical part in strengthening safe, compliant and high-performing worksites.
You will provide expert advice, governance and assurance across multiple projects, ensuring alignment with regional SHW strategy, systems, and legislative requirements.

Your key responsibilities include: Leadership Advisory Provide expert SHW advice to managers, supervisors, and contractors Coach and influence leaders to strengthen safety capability and accountability Support the development of a positive, proactive and compliant safety culture Risk Management Compliance Lead risk identification, assessment and control implementation across worksites Conduct audits, inspections, and assurance activities to ensure legislative compliance Monitor and report on safety performance trends and systemic risks Contractor Stakeholder Engagement Partner with contractors and stakeholders to promote secure systems of work Oversee contractor safety performance and ensure compliance with SHW requirements Incident Management Investigation Support and lead complex incident investigations Apply ICAM methodology to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions Ensure timely reporting,



close-out and continuous improvement Training Capability Building Deliver safety training, toolbox talks, and mentoring across teams Build leadership capability through coaching, challenge, and professional guidance Governance Continuous Improvement Contribute to regional SHW strategy and planning Guide assurance activities and corrective action frameworks Drive continuous improvement initiatives across projects and worksites To be successful you will demonstrate: Solid knowledge of WHS legislation, workers' compensation, and injury management frameworks Experience within operational or construction environments, ideally involving traffic management Strong communication, presentation and stakeholder engagement skills Proven ability to coach leaders, influence contractor performance, and drive behavioural change Experience with WHS systems, auditing, governance, and assurance processes Analytical capability to interpret safety data, identify trends, and implement improvements Essential Requirements 3–5 years' experience in Work Health Safety Certificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety Current WA C Class Driver's Licence Construction Safety Awareness Card (White Card) Basic Worksite Traffic Management certification Lead ICAM Investigator qualification Drug and Alcohol Testing certification First Aid certification Ability to commit to roster working hours as follows: 2:1 roster – 14 days on,



7 days off 11.5-hour shifts per day with a 30-minute unpaid lunch break Average of 80.5 hours per week (161 hours per fortnight) Working hours scheduled between 5:00am and 5:00pm Ideally you will also possess Mental Health First Aid certification and understanding of large-scale infrastructure or road network operations, including direct delivery models.
