The typical job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following: • Measure, mark and prepare surfaces for tiling across varied project environments • Lay wall and floor tiles to detailed specifications and design layouts • Cut, shape and finish tiles using hand and power tools accurately • Apply adhesives, grout and sealants ensuring strong and durable finishes • Inspect surfaces and rectify imperfections prior to tile installation • Interpret construction drawings, plans and client design concepts • Work across residential, hospitality and commercial flooring projects • Ensure alignment, spacing and pattern consistency throughout installations • Remove old tiles and prepare substrates for new tiling works • Level surfaces / ensure even substrate • Mix mortar or adhesives • Grout and finish techniques detail • Collaborate with project managers and designers to meet project requirements • Maintain high standards of workmanship and attention to detail • Adhere to workplace safety standards and secure handling of materials • Assist with material selection including timber-look and speciality tiles • Ensure timely completion of projects within agreed budgets and deadlines Applicants must meet the following minimum requirements to be considered for the role: • Relevant Certificate III qualification in Wall and Floor Tiling or equivalent, demonstrating robust foundational technical knowledge and trade competency • Minimum 12 months proven experience in residential and commercial tiling projects, with ability to deliver high quality finishes consistently • Strong ability to interpret plans, drawings and design specifications, ensuring accurate and efficient installation outcomes • Demonstrated attention to detail with a commitment to precision, alignment and high-quality workmanship • standards • Ability to safely operate tiling tools and equipment, maintaining compliance with workplace health and safety requirements • Good communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with project managers, designers and other trades • Capacity to manage time effectively and meet deadlines across multiple projects with varying scope and complexity • Understanding of materials, adhesives and finishes, including experience with premium and custom flooring products Due to the volume of applicants, only those meeting the minimum standards will be considered and only successful applicants will be contacted.
