About the company/role: Pharmaceutical manufacturing company based in the Eastern suburbs of Melbourne Seeking a trades qualified Fitter with previous pharmaceutical manufacturing experience 3-month contract with potential for extension Attractive Salary and Immediate Start Working Holiday Visas with relevant experience encouraged to apply!
Duties, but are not limited to: Perform routine and preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs according to SOPs and maintenance schedules.
Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues to minimize downtime.
Assemble, install, and adjust machinery and equipment as required.
Coordinate and supervise contractors, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Maintain spare parts inventory and workshop housekeeping.
Provide technical support to production staff and respond to urgent breakdowns or project work, including overtime if needed.
Conduct all maintenance activities in compliance with GMP, safety, and regulatory requirements.
Skills/experience: Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (Fitting Turning) or equivalent.
5 years as a Fitter Turner in a pharmaceutical or industrial environment, including experience with CNC or high-speed production equipment.
Robust mechanical aptitude, problem-solving, attention to detail, and ability to read technical drawings.




Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to lift heavy equipment and work at heights if required Strong understanding of cGMP, OH S, and environmental requirements.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Positive, adaptable, and solution-focused approach to maintenance challenges.
