Waikerie Medical Centre is a well-established general practice in the Riverland.
The practice supports GPs, GP Registrars, GP Interns as part of the RDWA R2R GP Intern program, participate in the Rural Academy Clinical Excellence (RACE Program) and host Trainee Medical Officers (TMO's) as well as Flinders University medical students and offer a wide variety of scope for nurses working in rural General Practice.
The Assistant Nurse Manager will coordinate with the Nurse Manager to perform a range of nursing and administration functions which will ensure the delivery of quality patient services.
This will include recruitment, development, and retention of nursing staff and the development, implementation and monitoring of health policies and plans.
Other duties include overseeing daily operations of nursing activities, ensuring high standards of patient care, and fostering a collaborative and efficient work setting.
Criteria and experience Qualifications as a Registered General Nurse (RN) or Enrolled General Nurse (EN)



AHPRA registration DCSI Working with Children Check DCSI Vulnerable Person Check National Police Clearance Vaccination record Current South Australian Drivers Licence Ability to take charge and handle emergency situations Knowledge of Equal Opportunity and Workplace Health Safety principles and practices Knowledge of triage, wound care and infection control Package The practice offers a permanent part-time position, with potential for full time hours, and remuneration paid as per Nurses Award ****, commensurate with experience.
Full induction and training, including support for necessary upskilling, is provided, along with a uniform.
